Our History and Mission at The Pharmacist
The Pharmacist is a full service clinical pharmacy where modern technology is integrated with old fashioned pharmacy values. We offer a variety of comprehensive pharmacy services and continually evaluate your health treatment plan, professionally coordinate with other healthcare providers to optimize health outcomes and empower you to make the best possible choices for your optimal health.
Jim Corkrean opened The Pharmacist on November 11th, 1991 with the goal of providing personal pharmaceutical services with compassion and kindness. Jim’s son Sean has worked with his father at the pharmacy since it opened when he was only seven years old. Ultimately, Sean followed in his father’s footsteps and achieved a Doctor of Pharmacy Degree from the University of Charleston and returned home to continue working alongside his father. Jim and Sean believe there is much more to the practice of pharmacy than just accurately and efficiently filling prescriptions.
They believe pharmacy is a profession that requires uncompromising integrity and professionalism. Jim and Sean believe trust is the fundamental component in achieving the best health outcomes in patients. At The Pharmacist “we hope that the character in which we choose to practice pharmacy earns the trust of our patient’s and other healthcare professionals. We believe when patients, pharmacists and practitioners work as a team grounded in trust and open communication we give patients the greatest opportunity to achieve the highest quality health and wellness.”
Our pharmacists Jim, Sean, and Kevin take pride in always being accessible to patients and are happy to answer all of your prescription and over the counter medication questions. When you walk into our pharmacy you not only become a patient, you become part of our family.
